Police and Fire Expo Rescheduled for Oct. 27
The expo was originally scheduled for Oct. 12, but was postponed due to the weather.
Following last week's rain, the Anne Arundel County Public Safety Expo has been rescheduled to Oct. 27.
The expo was originally scheduled for Oct. 12, but was postponed due to the weather.
The event is a joint effort from local police and fire departments, designed to introduce the public to the capabilities of emergency services in the county.
“This is a unique opportunity for us to meet our citizens and to demonstrate the strength of our most important resource – our emergency responders,” said Police Chief Michael Cox. “We encourage all the members of our community to come out for this event.”
Police officers and fire fighters will provide one-on-one education on fire prevention and public safety issues, displaying the latest in firefighting and rescue technology, according to a press release.
The event will be Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the fire department's training complex, located at 415 Maxwell Frye Road in Millersville.
