Police: Arrest Made After Man Stabbed in Back

A man was arrested after he stabbed an acquaintance in the back during an argument, police said.

Police arrested a 24-year-old man in Pasadena Tuesday after he allegedly stabbed a man in the back with a knife.

Anne Arundel County police arrested Brett Christian McGuire-Reid, 24, of Pasadena, charged with attempted murder, first- and second-degree assault and a weapons charge, according to a police report.

Police said when officers arrived to the 1900 block of Main Avenue in Pasadena Tuesday night, there was a report of a stabbing. A 54-year-old man was suffering from an apparent stab wound in his back.

Police said the victim was approached by an acquaintance outside his home. After an argument, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the back, according to the report.

The suspect fled, but was later walking on Arundel Road by officers and arrested.

The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, suffering from serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
