Police Investigate Assault by 'Several' People in Gambrills Bar

Anne Arundel County police are investigating a possible assault at the Irish Channel bar in Gambrills on Saturday night. 

Police said a 28-year-old man has been hospitalized after being pushed to the ground then punched and kicked by several people. 

Officers were first alerted to the assault on Sunday evening and spoke to the father of the victim. The father told police that his son was assaulted about 11 p.m. the night before and was receiving medical attention in Bowie. 

Police are seeking help from the public in identifying the those involved in the assault. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Frank Bilbrey at 443-679-6646.
