Police Use K-9 Units after Armed Robbery at John's General Store

A man in his 20s armed with a handgun demanded cash from John's General Store on Thursday, police said.

Police are searching for a man involved in an armed robbery of John's General Store on Thursday night.

Anne Arundel County police said a man in his 20s brandished a handgun on Thursday at about 8 p.m. at John's General Store on Duvall Highway. The suspect demanded an undisclosed amount of money. Employees complied and the suspect fled on foot. 

Police conducted an extensive search of the area involving K-9 units, but were not able to locate the suspect, according to a police report.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing between 165-170 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black hat, black bandanna, a long black shirt, black pants and latex gloves, according to the report.
