Santa Claus, Firefighters to Visit Local Communities
The Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company will conducting their annual Santa Runs this month.

The Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company (RBVFC) will be conducting their annual Santa Runs later this month.
This event gives kids a chance to see Santa ride by, courtesy of the company's fire truck. The Pasadena Voice has a list of the dates that the runs will be taking place and the neighborhoods that Santa will be visiting on each day.
Volunteer Jay Porter with the RBVFC said that while the fire company does accept donations during the event, it's largely intended just for the children of the community.

"We'll drive around with our lights and sirens on to get the kids' attention," said Porter. "We'll also hand out candy canes and things like that."
Porter said that the Santa Runs typically take place in two neighborhoods in Riviera Beach each night. The first two neighborhoods, which will be visited on Dec. 14, are White's Cove and Colony Road. On Dec. 15, the fire company will visit Bayside Beach, Belle Haven and Compass Pointe. The Santa Runs will continue on a nightly basis until Dec. 22.

"We also work with the Angel Tree program here," added Porter, who said that the fire company largely hosts events during the Christmas season. "We've also got a Breakfast with Santa event ... it's just a bunch of things that we do to bring the community closer together.
"We've been doing it forever," said volunteer Jason Dallo with the RBVFC. "We decorate the fire truck and drive down the roads."
Dallo said that neighborhood kids look forward to the event and that it's taken place every year since he started working with the fire company.
