Schools Make Snow Decision In Anne Arundel County
The first snow of the season forced Anne Arundel County schools to make a schedule decision.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late on Friday.
AACPS cited "inclement weather and anticipated hazardous road conditions in parts of the county."
Anne Arundel County got a dusting of snow in the early morning. Grass and some walkways are covered, but pretreated roads are mostly clear in West County. Salt trucks have been active throughout the morning. Snow was still falling in Odenton as of 7:55 a.m.

There will be no morning half-day ECSE classes and no morning sessions at the Centers of Applied Technology North or South.
AACPS announced the delay at 5:22 a.m., promising a reassessment by 7:30 a.m. At 7:40 a.m., AACPS confirmed that it will operate on a two-hour delay.
