Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Anne Arundel County
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for northwestern Anne Arundel County through 4:45 p.m. ET July 11.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD —A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for northwestern Anne Arundel County, along with portions of Montgomery and Prince Georges County until 4:45 p.m. Weather Underground reports that at 4:24 PM EDT, a radar indicated severe thunderstorm was located over Goddard, or near Greenbelt, moving east at 20 mph.
Expect 60 mph wind gusts that could cause some trees and large branches to fall, injuring people outdoors and damaging homes and vehicles. Roadways could become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.
Locations impacted by this storm include Bowie, Severn, Crofton, Greenbelt, Beltsville, Odenton, Laurel, New Carrollton, Mitchellville, Fort Meade, Woodmore, Millersville, Lanham-Seabrook, Goddard, Glenn Dale, Jessup, Glenarden, Riva, Springdale and Gambrills.
