Attempted Murder Charges Filed Against Pasadena Man After Severn Shooting: Police
Attempted murder charges were filed against a Pasadena man, police said. He's accused of shooting a male in a Severn shopping center.

SEVERN, MD — A Pasadena man was charged with attempted murder months after a Severn shooting, police announced Monday.
Officers identified the suspect as Da'sjon Malik Ford, 19.
Authorities said a male was shot in Severn on Dec. 18, 2023 around 8:20 p.m.

Police said they found the victim at a shopping center in the 1100 block of Reece Road. Officers expect him to survive.
Several vehicles were also damaged, authorities said.

Police said they found various rifle and handgun casings in the area.
Officers identified the suspect vehicle as a gray Mazda 3. The car had a spare tire on the rear driver's side. It also had damage to the front passenger's side door and frame, authorities said.
Detectives said they identified Ford as a suspect with the help of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Crime Gun Intelligence Center.
Authorities said they conducted a search warrant last Thursday at a home in the 7000 block of Timberfield Place in Pasadena.
Several pieces of evidence were seized during the search, police said.
Officers said they took Ford into custody at the home.
Court records show that Ford is up against:
- Two counts of attempted first-degree murder (Felony)
- Two counts of attempted second-degree murder (Felony)
- Four counts of first-degree assault (Felony)
- Four counts of second-degree assault (Misdemeanor)
- One count of reckless endangerment (Misdemeanor)
- One count of handgun in vehicle (Misdemeanor)
- One count of loaded handgun in vehicle (Misdemeanor)
- One count of handgun on person (Misdemeanor)
- One count of loaded handgun on person (Misdemeanor)
- One count of firearm use in a felonious violent crime (Misdemeanor)
Judge Shaem C.P. Spencer last Friday ordered Ford to be held without bond until his trial, the record says.
