Shelter Dog's Health Spared Thanks To Compassionate Donors
A Malamute named Cody arrived at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County in need of surgery. Donors rallied and generated enough funds to save him.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A beautiful boy named Cody arrived at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County sad and overweight. Cody weighed 111 pounds and yelped in pain when he walked. Staff and volunteer members knew they had to rally around this pup.
"When Cody came to us, we noticed that while he was a sweet, fun-loving boy, but he was also limping. It's so sad to watch such a happy guy feel so badly," the shelter posted on Facebook.
It turned out that the three-year-old Malamute had bilateral ligament tears that were causing him an "immense" amount of pain.
