South County Call N' Ride Service Announced By Anne Arundel Co.
To better serve south county residents, Anne Arundel County Office of Transportation has unveiled the new South County Call N' Ride service.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Starting Sunday, Aug. 11, residents in the southern part of Anne Arundel County will now have access to an on-demand service for transportation. Called South County Call N' Ride, residents from Galesville, Shadyside, Churchton, Deale, Tracy's Landing, Wayson's Corner, Lothian, Harwood and Edgewater can use the service weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
All trips must be scheduled two hours before the requested pickup time. The zones are:
- Zone 1 Solomon’s Island/Owensville Sudley to the East.
- Zone 2 Owensville Sudley/Greenock/ Fisher Station to the South.
- Zone 3 Greenock/ Fisher Station/Solomon’s Island to the West.
The cost to use South County Call N' Ride will be $2 for a one-way regular fare or $1 for a reduced fare/person with a disability.

AA-201(RTA 201/J) — This route will remain the same, providing daily service within northern Anne Arundel County. The route originates at Arundel Mills Mall and travels along Dorsey Road toward Cromwell Light Rail Station, connecting with MTA LocalLink 70 and light rail service. From Cromwell Station, the route travels along Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard to Sun Valley Shopping Center, and service terminates at Freetown Village. The service will have additional service added during a.m. and p.m. peak and Saturday and Sundays. Service will operate 5:50 a.m.-12:19 a.m, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.- 12:31 a.m. Saturday, and 9:10 a.m. to 9:31 p.m. Sunday.
Crofton Connector (RTA 504/ Fort Meade) — This route will be discontinued by RTA and service to Fort Meade will be replaced with additional trips during peak period to the Crofton Connector. A.M. peak trips will travel from Crofton to Fort Meade via Waugh Chapel and the Odenton MARC Train Station. Service will operate from 5:45 a.m.to 9:57 P.M. peak trips will travel the reverse from Fort Meade to Crofton via Waugh Chapel and the Odenton MARC Train Station. Service will operate from 3 p.m.to 6:41 p.m. Monday –Friday.

AA-GOLD (AA GOLD-Edgewater) (AA GOLD - College Pkwy) — The current Gold Route operates from Edgewater to Arnold /AACC serving South River Colony Shopping Center, portions of Edgewater, Westfield Mall, Bestgate Road, MD 2/Ritchie Highway in Arnold. Currently the service has a two-hour round trip time. To improve the service for the passengers, AA-GOLD service has been separated into two separate routes to reduce the headway and provide faster trips. AA GOLD – Edgewater will provide the identical service from Edgewater to Westgate Mall. The service will then return to Edgewater. Service will operate 6 a.m.-8:55 p.m., Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-8:55 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. AA GOLD – College Parkway will provide the identical service from Westgate Mall to Anne Arundel Community College via Church Circle and MD 2. The service will then return to Westfield Mall. Service will operate 6 a.m.-9:15 p.m., Monday-Friday, 7:20a.m.-9:15 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Paratransit Services (Anne Arundel County and RTA) — All regional complementary para-transit trips originating in either Anne Arundel, Howard or Prince Georges and traveling regionally will be provided by the Regional Transit Agency of Central Maryland (RTA) RTA Mobility service. To receive services, passengers will contact RTA. All local complementary para-transit for transit services provided by Anne Arundel County local fixed routes will be provided by Anne Arundel County Transportation.
