Teen Charged in Burglary at Seven Oaks Elementary

Police said a 15-year-old boy smashed a window and stole candy and a laser pointer.

A 15-year-old from Odenton has been arrested on burglary charges after police said he broke into Seven Oaks Elementary School early Thursday morning. 

Police said they responded to an alarm at the school at about 1:30 a.m., and arrived to find a window had been shattered. Officers then noticed someone running away from the area and arrested him. 

Police said the suspect, a 15-year-old boy from Odenton, stole some candy and a laser pointer from the school. 

The teen was charged as a juvenile with second-degree burglary, destruction of property and theft, and was released to his parents.
