This Week: Back to School, Memorial Unveiling, Market House?

THIS WEEK:
The Market House may open its doors finally this week. In July, city officials said instead of having each vendor open individually as they completed their renovations, they would instead open all at once. The date? It hasn't been set, but officials said it would happen in August. And here we are at the end of the month. Will it be this week?

MONDAY: School Begins in Anne Arundel County
When: Most students in grades one through five, as well as six and nine, will have their first day on August 26.

Details: Some schools will start a day late due to construction. 

TUESDAY: Health Care Reform Forum
When: Tuesday, 7 p.m.

WEDNESDAY: 'Foot Soldiers' Memorial Unveiling at Whitmore Park
When: Wednesday, 10 a.m.
Where: Whitmore Park, Annapolis
Details: The Civil Rights Foot Soldiers Memorial includes the names of more than 500 foot soldiers from Anne Arundel County. 

THURSDAY: Bowie Baysox Game 
When: Monday-Thursday
Where: Prince George's Stadium in Bowie
