Two Teens Struck in Pasadena Hit-and-Run

Anne Arundel County police are seeking the driver of a Ford Expedition involved in a hit-and-run in Pasadena that sent two teenagers to the hospital Friday night.

Police said one of the juveniles is in critical condition at Shock Trauma.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m., a 1997-2002 Ford Expedition struck two pedestrians who were walking in a narrow shoulder on Mountain Road, near Alvin Drive, in the direction of westbound traffic. The vehicle continued westbound after striking the pedestrians, resulting in damage to the passenger side headlight, blinker, hood and quarter panel, according to police.

A third juvenile who was also walking in the shoulder was not injured, police said.

Police identified the juvenile male as a 15-year-old who lives on the 4500 block of Mountain Road in Pasadena–which is the same block of the hit-and-run. An ambulance transported the boy to University of Maryland Shock Trauma with critical injuries.

The second teen was identified as a 13-year-old girl, of Clearwater Beach, and she was transported to Johns Hopkins Children's Center with serious injuries.

Police described the third teen as a 13-year-old girl from Glen Burnie, who was not injured in the incident.

The department released two images of the model vehicle, and said the Expedition was possibly a dark color.

The area of Mountain Road near Alvin Drive is a school zone, only a few hundred feet away from Lake Shore Elementary School.
