Video Of Police Shooting Armed Woman Released In Anne Arundel County
The video of police shooting an armed woman in Anne Arundel was released. She's accused of pointing a gun at officers.

PASADENA, MD — Police on May 21 released the video of officers shooting an armed woman in a recent Pasadena standoff.
The recording, which includes nearly eight minutes of officers' body camera video, is posted here.
Authorities said they were called to the 8600 block of Gambier Harbor for a report of an armed person on March 28 around 1:35 p.m.

Police said they were told the woman had shot and killed a cat inside the home. When authorities told her to come outside, she did, but then retreated into the house.
The next time the woman stepped out of the house, she was holding a handgun. Officers said they repeatedly ordered her to drop the gun, but she did not.

"The suspect then raised the firearm in the direction of the officers," the Anne Arundel County Police Department said in a press release, noting that the woman was 60 years old at the time of the shooting. "Fearing for their safety, officers discharged their departmentally-issued firearms, striking the suspect."
Officers said the woman was in critical but stable condition at the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore as of April 2. Patch asked authorities for an update on her condition. We will update this story if we hear back.
Officers said they found a dead cat inside the home with at least one apparent gunshot wound.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department on April 2 identified the officers on the call as:
- Cpl. J. Glossner Jr., an eight-year veteran
- Police Officer First Class M. Spates, a four-year veteran
- Officer C. Dixon, a six-month veteran
- Cpl. D. Holquist, an 18.5-year veteran
Police did not release the first names of the officers, who are all assigned to the Bureau of Patrol.
A press release said the officers were placed on administrative leave pending an internal review.
