Weekend Planner: Thanksgiving Edition

If you're over turkey and want to get out of the house, try these activities.

If the l-tryptophan and carbohydrates in your Thanksgiving dinner haven't left you in a food coma, how about heading out into the community to try a few of these weekend activities on for size?

What: Dueling Vibraphones at Galilee Lutheran
When/Where: 7 p.m. Sunday at , 4652 Mountain Road, Pasadena
Why Go: Have you ever seen vibraphones dueling? It's an impressive sight. Especially if you didn't previously know what a vibraphone is–it's a bit like a xylophone, incidentally.
Cost: Free, donations accepted

What:
When/Where: 1-5 p.m. Sunday at , 2597 Dorsey Road, Glen Burnie
Why Go: Continue to give thanks this weekend by giving to those in need. Donate gently used winter clothes, canned food and toys to be shared with needy families during the holiday season.

What: The Gingerbread Pirates
When/Where: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday at Children’s Theatre of Annapolis
Why Go: The annual holiday show runs for one day only this year and will feature a visit from Santa after each show.
Cost: $8 for adults, $5 for children (ages 2 to 12) and children younger than age 2 are free.

When/Where: 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at , Odenton
Why Go: Come to Greenway Bowl for pancakes and bowling with Santa. It includes: two hours of bowling for up to six people, shoes, music, door prizes, holiday trivia and a visit and gift from Santa for each child. Breakfast includes bacon or sausage, pancakes and syrup, milk, juice, coffee, tea, donuts or pastries. Watch out, by the way - Santa's said to be a pro bowler.
Cost: $12 per person or $59.95 per lane
