Bero Road Victim Identified

Baltimore County police have released the name of the victim fatally run over by a truck on the 3100-block of Bero Road Friday night.

Charles Edward Valentine, 36, of the 3100-block of Bero Road was standing at the driver's side window talking to a neighbor driving a 1996 Ford van around 9 p.m. when an International tractor trailer driven by Keith Alan Younger, 45, of the 3000-block of Bero Road struck him while passing the van.

Valentine was pushed into the van by the truck, then fell and rolled beneath the truck's rear wheel, which passed over him. According to crews from Lansdowne Volunteer Fire Department who responded to the scene, Valentine was in cardiac arrest when they arrived.

Valentine was transported to University of Maryland's Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Younger was issued a citation related to the incident, but the nature of the citation is not known at press time.
