Man Charged in Arbutus Armed Robberies

David Allen Sadler, 27, charged with armed robbery and assault, may be linked to string of crimes.

Baltimore County police arrested a Halethorpe man who is charged with armed robbery and assault for holding up the Pantry 1 convenience store Oct. 18, and may be responsible for several recent robberies in the Arbutus area.

David Allen Sadler, 27, of the 1600-block of Clairidge Avenue, was picked up by police after the Pantry 1 on the 5300-block of East Drive was robbed at knifepoint on Tuesday night, police said.

An officer on patrol found Sadler in the area after the robbery and questioned him because Sadler matched the description of the Pantry 1 robbery suspect, according to police.

, including the Cigarette Outlet and a gift shop on East Drive, and a convenience store on Hollins Ferry Road.

Police have not yet charged Sadler with other crimes, but the cases are still under investigation, according to police sources.

A check of Maryland court records shows that Sadler has previous convictions for armed robbery and assault.

Salder is charged with armed robbery and first degree assault, and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson.
