Police Blotter: Woman Charged in Vehicular Assault

Reisterstown Woman Charged in Violetville Assault
A Reisterstown woman has been charged with assault following a altercation after a Friday night birthday party at the Violetville Volunteer Fire Department station on the 5000-block of Benson Avenue in Violetville.
According to police reports, a fight was simmering between two groups of females attending the birthday party. As one of the women was being escorted out of the facility, she was told that a group of about 10 other females were waiting in the parking area, according to police.

At around 2 a.m. on Nov. 12, a 19-year-old woman was struck by a silver Honda driven by Kiania Niemea Shameka Johnson, 23, of the 200-block of Caraway Road in Reisterstown.
Witnesses say that the car intentionally swerved to strike the victim. Others said that the car swerved in an attempt to avoid an encroaching crowd.

The vehicle was stopped nearby by police, and Johnson was charged with first-degree assault. The victim sustained minor injuries to her legs and back and was transported by ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital.
Man Robbed at Gunpoint on Maiden Choice Lane
A 67-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint near the High's convenience store on the 1000-block of Maiden Choice Lane in Arbutus early on the morning of Nov. 10.
According to police, at around 5:03 a.m. a suspect ran up to the High's store and pulled on the door handle, not realizing until too late that the store was closed and locked. He turned toward the victim, pointed a black handgun, and demanded money. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect ran away northbound on Maiden Choice Lane.
The suspect was described as a black male, about 5'9" and 165 lbs, wearing a blue and white bandana over his face, dark blue sweatshirt and black pants.
Attempted Robbery at Beauty Supply Shop
At around 2 p.m. on Nov. 12, a man walked into a beauty supply shop on the 1000-block of Maiden Choice Lane in Arbutus. He was described as a black male about 6 feet tall with a medium build, wearing a black bandana, black jacket and black pants. He showed the shop owner a black handgun and demanded money, but fled the store after assaulting the owner.
Hollins Ferry Road Drugstore Robbed at Gunpoint
The CVS store on the 3900-block of Hollins Ferry Road in Lansdowne was robbed at around 3:35 on Nov. 11 by a man who walked up to the register and purchased a pack of gum. When the employee opened the register, he put his hand in his pocket of his hoodie and said, "give me all your money or I'll shoot the place up," according to police. The suspect fled after taking an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as a black male, about 5'11" and 136 lbs, wearing a gray hoodie and black hat.
Man Robbed in Halethorpe
A 60-year-old man was robbed by two suspects who approached him near Jeanne Avenue and Woodside Avenue at around 9:30 on Nov. 8. One of the suspects pointed a rifle at the victim and demanded money. When the victim said that he didn't have any money, the suspects went through the victim's pockets and took a cell phone and his pack of Salem cigarettes. The suspects fled on foot northbound on Jeanne Avenue.
Burglaries in the Area
Nov. 7: At some time between 6:15-9:25 p.m., an unknown person broke into a residence on the 2600-block of Virginia Avenue in Baltimore Highlands by using a ladder to reach a rear balcony, breaking a window and opening a door. Once inside, the suspect took a video game system and Call of Duty Black Ops game.
Nov. 8: At some point since Nov. 6, an unknown person broke into a house on the 5100-block of Viaduct Avenue in Relay and stole all of his kitchen appliances, as well as an air conditioning unit, lawn mower and an air compressor.
Nov. 9: At some point since Nov. 2, an unknown person entered a vacant house on the 3000-block of Freeway Road in Riverview through a side rear window. Nothing was stolen.
Nov. 9: A known suspect entered an unlocked townhouse on the 2900-block of Bero Road in Riverview between 7:15 a.m. and 9 p.m. Various areas of the home were ransacked, but no property was taken.
Nov. 10: At some time between 9 a.m. and 6:20 p.m., an unknown person entered a residence on the 400-block of Bigley Avenue in Riverview through a broken rear door and took DVDs, a computer monitor and jewelry.
