Little Donna's got the shoutout by Times writer Brett Anderson.
Located at 1812 Bank St., the restaurant is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 5 to 10 pm Friday and Saturday.
Featuring Maryland's iconic crab and a cracker-thin crust makes Little Donna's stands apart from other pizza restaurants, Anderson writes. Little Donna’s also made The New York Times’s 2023 list of the nation’s most exciting restaurants.
"It isn’t surprising that Robbie Tutlewski decided to put soft-shell crab on pizza. … Here, crab is an all-but-mandatory menu item. And the soft-shells really take to the treatment. They’re pan-fried, quartered and then scattered atop a cooked white pizza, where their buttery juices settle into the cheese. The seasonal special is just one example of how Mr. Tutlewski channels a lifetime’s worth of experiences through his pizzeria," Anderson wrote.
Along with various pizzas, the venue showcases dishes inspired by the cooking of his Yugoslavian grandmother, including Ostrowski's kielbasa stuffed pork schnitzel, according to their website.
