Baltimore Ravens Season Preview 2023: Schedule, Expectations, Game Day

The start of the 2023 regular season for the Baltimore Ravens is set to kick off at home on Sunday, Sept. 10, against the Houston Texans.

BALTIMORE, MD — The start of the 2023 regular season for the Baltimore Ravens is set to kick off at home on Sunday, Sept. 10, against the Houston Texans, with former MVP Lamar Jackson back at quarterback.

During the off-season, the Ravens signed Jackson to a new five-year, $260 million contract. The Ravens also added some wide receivers for Jackson to target, including Odell Beckham Jr., Zay Flowers and Nelson Agholor.

The 2023 season, the team's 16th under head coach John Harbaugh, follows a season where they finished second in the AFC North and lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in the wild card round of the playoffs.

The 2023 NFL season began Thursday night, when the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs hosted the Detroit Lions, with the champs losing 21-20.

For the Ravens, experts are predicting the team to win 10 or 11 games in the tough AFC North division.

"The Ravens season will depend a lot on the fitness of Lamar Jackson down the stretch," football news site Ninety-Nine Yards said. "If he is healthy late in the season, which he hasn’t been since 2019, the Ravens are capable of challenging the AFC elite."

The biggest challenge, according to Ninety-Nine Yards, will be "a crowded AFC North and a crowded AFC playoff field."

"The Ravens have the talent to earn a spot as one of the top seven teams in the conference but everything has to break right for them to earn a home playoff game," the football news site said.

The following liquor options have been added to various bars throughout M&T Bank Stadium: Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey; Tito's Vodka; Sagamore Whiskey; Herradura Tequila; Captain Morgan Rum; and Woodford Reserve Bourbon.

Other new food and beverage additions at the stadium include Taco Love (tacos and margaritas) near Section 150; 4 Rivers BBQ (pulled pork sandwiches and nachos) near Sections 103 & 532; Pat & Stuggs (specialty burgers, hotdogs and fries) near Section 129; and Yachad's Kosher Grill near section 144.

Scan the QR code on the screen at the kiosk, provide a phone number and credit card information to access a portable charger, and it will allow you to charge your phone while it's with you.

Non-disabled parking for M&T Bank Stadium events is typically sold in advance and is by permit only. For Ravens games, all stadium lots are sold out to permit holders. If you do not have a permit for a stadium lot, purchase parking with SpotHero or view a map of downtown parking options.
