Best Restaurant Staffers In MD: Nominate Them For 2022 Awards

MARYLAND — Restaurants and their staffs are contending for the chance to win bragging rights to the title of the best in Maryland.

The Restaurant Association of Maryland coordinates the annual Stars of the Industry Awards, in which the public is invited to submit their favorite chefs, bartenders and more.

This year marks the 66th annual Stars of the Industry Awards.

"It takes just one submission to be in the running!" organizers said.

These are the categories for which the public can nominate contenders:

• Chef of the Year
• Restaurant Manager of the Year
• Server of the Year
• Bartender of the Year

Nominations will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 31.

Once the nominations are in, a "classified committee of distinguished hospitality industry professionals" will pare the list down to the top five in each category, according to the Restaurant Association of Maryland.

Starting Monday, Feb. 7, the public will be able to vote for their favorites of these finalists online.

Here is where to nominate your favorites, by telling the Restaurant Association of Maryland. People can nominate someone in one category or can submit nominations in multiple categories.

A gala honoring the winners will be held March 27 at Maryland Live! Casino.
