Girl, 7, Shot Twice During Altercation At Mall Saturday: Baltimore PD

BALTIMORE, MD — A seven-year-old girl is recovering after being hit by gunfire during a fight between two groups at Mondawmin Mall, Baltimore Police said.

The altercation took place around 1:30 p.m. inside the mall, at 2401 Liberty Heights Ave.

Officials said a member of one group began to run away and fired, accidentally hitting the girl twice. The girl was in critical but stable condition as of the latest update Saturday evening.

The girl was with her mother at the time of the shooting, according to CBS Baltimore.

Authorities are looking to identify the shooter, and no arrests have been made at this time. Police ask anyone with contact Western District detectives at 410-396-2477.
