Good Friday Closings Announced for Baltimore
Good Friday is considered a city holiday, thus the DPW offices and yards will be closed.

From Baltimore City Department of Public Works: Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., reminds everyone that Good Friday, April 14, 2017, is a City holiday. DPW offices and yards will be CLOSED.
- Recycling/Trash collections regularly scheduled for Friday, WILL be collected on Saturday.
- Regular trash, recycling and bulk collections are NOT scheduled for April 14.
- Citizen drop-off centers will be CLOSED on April 14 (all yards, including Quarantine Road Landfill, the Northwest Transfer Station and the Eastern, Western and Northwest Collections Facilities).
- Mechanical street sweeping will NOT take place on April 14, and street sweeping parking restrictions will NOT be in effect. Parking meters will be IN EFFECT.
