MD's Least Healthy Menu Item: Here's Where To Find It

MARYLAND — You might think that a plate of crab cakes, a loaded sub or a juicy burger would serve as Maryland's unhealthiest menu item. You'd be wrong.

According to the Eat This, Not That website, the state's most dietary despicable place is Maryland's own Pasta Mista, which touts its famous spaghetti pizza among other interesting combination pies not for the faint of heart.

The restaurant has locations in Towson and Canton, per its website.

Eat This, Not That is a blog consisting of doctors, nutritionists, chefs, personal trainers and dietitians who post on food, nutrition, dieting, weight loss and other health topics.

"Pizza joints can easily find ways to overload their pies, but Pasta Mista takes it to a whole new level with signature creations, like their Spaghetti Pizza," the website says. "This creation loads up a double crust with spaghetti and pasta sauce."

The restaurants offer a variety of artery-clogging pies not for those who are lactose intolerant. They include:

• Chicken bacon ranch pizza: Grilled chicken, ranch sauce, bacon, mozzarella and parmigiano cheese.
• Spaghetti pizza: Double crust, stuffed with spaghetti, tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta and parmigiano cheese.
• Melanzane pizza: Eggplant pan fried, served with our delicate tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
• Chicken Parm Dinner: 2 pieces of breaded chicken in a delicate tomato sauce, mozzarella & parmigiano cheese served over spaghetti pasta.
• Tortellini Bolognese: Cheese tortellini pasta cooked in a delicate meat pink creamy sauce.
• Gnocchi Bolognese: Potato dumplings cooked in a meat pink creamy sauce
