$50K Winning Powerball Ticket Claimed By Mom-Daughter Duo
A mom and daughter who love playing the lottery recently bought a ticket worth $50K. They celebrated with dinner out together.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A mother-daughter duo from Harford County love playing the lottery and recently won $50,000 from a Powerball jackpot.
The mom bought a ticket while her daughter was at work. Even though the monster prize had already been split by winning tickets in Missouri and Texas, they kept playing. Neither checked the ticket the mom had bought until a few days later and that's when they discovered it was a $50,000 winner.
“We were so excited!” the winner said, adding that while she hasn’t yet figured out plans for her prize money, she intends to keep playing. This, she said, is her first memorable win. Her mom, meanwhile, recalls winning prizes in the $50 to $100 range.
