7-Month Shutdown Of Harford County Road Looming For Bridge Replacement

A road in Street will be closed to all traffic, including buses and emergency vehicles, for seven months while crews replace a bridge.

STREET, MD — A section of Scarboro Road in Street will shut down for seven months for a bridge replacement project.

According to county officials, the affected section of Scarboro Road stretches between Sandy Hook Road and Boyd Road. The closure will start Monday, Sept. 22, and a detour will be put in place.

Emergency vehicles and school buses will not be allowed through the closed area during the closure.

Despite the closure, the Harford Waste Disposal Center and the mulch and compost facility both will be accessible during the closure by using MD Route 440 (Dublin Road) in order to reach Boyd or Scarboro roads, county officials stated.
