Aberdeen Ironbirds Teams Up With The Highlands School For Sunday Run The Bases Activity

The Aberdeen Ironbirds has teamed up with The Highlands School to sponsor the Sunday Run the Bases activity for kids.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The Highlands School, a private institution for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, has partnered with the Aberdeen Ironbirds.

Located in Bel Air, The Highlands School specializes in educating students with learning differences and achievement gaps. The school will be the title sponsor of the Ironbirds Kids Run the Bases after each of the Ironbirds Sunday home games.

Kids Run the Bases allows kids to experience the professional baseball atmosphere up close and personal as they run around the bases on the field. As the sponsor, The Highlands School will share their mission and distribute fun giveaways to participants.

“We look forward to connecting with families in our community through this unique immersive experience,” said the school's head, Claudia Nachtigal. “The Aberdeen Ironbirds are a Harford County staple and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to share our message with fans after they enjoy America’s favorite pastime.”

The Aberdeen IronBirds is a Minor League Baseball team based in Aberdeen. It's the High-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles and competes in the South Atlantic League.
