MD Man Charged After Fatally Shooting His Wife, Police Say
Authorities said the shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. Monday in Abingdon.

ABINGDON, MD — An Abingdon man is facing charges after authorities said he fatally shot his wife on Monday.
David Williams, 66, was charged with first-degree murder and various firearm violations in connection with the shooting, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
According to police, officers responded to a home in the 2800 block of Bynum Overlook Drive around 10:45 p.m. after receiving a call about a shooting. When police arrived, they found a 64-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body.

First responders immediately began life-saving efforts; however, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harford County's Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the shooting.

Williams was taken to the Harford County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
