Bel Air Among 'Best Places To Live In Baltimore Area': Report
Bel Air is among the top 100 places to call home in 2022 for the Baltimore area, according to a new report by Niche.
BEL AIR, MD — Bel Air is considered one of the best neighborhoods in the Baltimore metro area, according to Niche's new list of best places to live in 2022.
The new Niche listings, with rankings both national and local, were released Monday. It ranked Bel Air No. 75 on its local "Best Places to Live" list.
"Bel Air is in Harford County and is one of the best places to live in Maryland," Niche commented on its website. "Living in Bel Air offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. Many young professionals and retirees live in Bel Air and residents tend to lean conservative. The public schools in Bel Air are highly rated."

The company creates its annual "Best Places to Live" rankings using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in addition to resident reviews, according to a news release.
It also considers factors like affordability, the housing market, diversity, public schools and walkability.
