Bel Air Turkey Trot Boasts Big Numbers
Nearly 2,000 people participated in this year's 5K walk/run to benefit the Y of Central Maryland.
What better way to work up an appetite for Thanksgiving dinner than to run a 5K in the morning?
Nearly 2,000 participants in this year's Turkey Trot in Bel Air did just that Thanksgiving morning.
Event organizer Suzanne Green said about 1,720 runners and 250 walkers participated in this year's event. The Turkey Trot benefits the Y of Central Maryland.

"All of the fundraising this year goes to our families who can't afford to put their children in childcare or camp," Green said.
