Body Found in Abingdon Confirmed as Missing Man
Laron Tavonte Bell, 22, was last seen in early September.
The body found in a wooded area off Harford Town Drive this week is that of a 22-year-old Abingdon man who had been missing since September, police confirmed Wednesday.
Laron Tavonte Bell was last seen leaving his girlfriend's house around 4:30 p.m. Sept. 9, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
His body was found around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of Harford Town Drive located off U.S. Route 7, or Philadelphia Road, Capt. Jim Eyler, spokesman for the sheriff's office, said Wednesday.

in the 3700 block of Trailwood Court, which is located in the same neighborhood where his body was found.
His girlfriend's house is also in that neighborhood in the 100 block of Bush Court, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

"We made contact with the next of kin last night to let them know there was a chance it was him and confirmed it before releasing the name," Eyler said.
It is unclear how Bell died, and Eyler said the autopsy report was not yet complete.
Eyler said: "There’s no indication at this time that there was foul play."
