Lane Closures Along U.S. 1 Needed For Resurfacing Project Starting June 1

Drivers should expect lane closures in the overnight starting June 1 during a resurfacing project along U.S. 1.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Starting June 1, drivers should anticipate lane closures along U.S. 1 while a road resurfacing project is underway.

The resurfacing project on U.S. 1 Business between Tollgate Road and MD 924 should wrap up by early summer, weather permitting.

Crews will work overnights, Sundays through Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers should expect single-lane closures along northbound or southbound U.S. 1 during work hours.

The $600,000 project is part of a $7 million State Highway Administration contract to repair, patch, mill and resurface pavements on primary state highways in Harford County.
