Kitten Stranded In Tree For 2 Days Rescued By Abingdon Firefighters

Abingdon firefighters recently rescued a 6-month-old kitten stuck in a tree for more than 48 hours.

ABINGDON, MD — Firefighters rescued a 6-month-old kitten stuck in a tree for more than two days.

Members of the Abingdon Fire Company with rescue engine four were called to the home Nov. 25. They used a 24-foot extension ladder and some impressive maneuvering techniques to catch and safely rescue the kitten.

"Though this isn’t a call we receive often, it is always a nice change of pace when we are able to help out an animal in need," the fire department said on Facebook.
