Forest Hill Man Charged With Child Pornography Distribution: Police
Police said the man from Forest Hill was denied bail following his arrest.

BEL AIR, MD — A Forest Hill man was charged with distribution of child pornography recently, according to Maryland State Police.
Jon Erich Smith, 37, was investigated starting this July by the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit, which identifies those victimizing children using the internet.
When troopers executed a search warrant at Smith's home on Boggs Road in Forest Hill around 10:10 a.m. on Friday, July 15, they said they found multiple child pornography files on his electronic devices.

As a result, Smith was charged with the following, police said:
- Seven counts of distribution of child pornography
- Five counts of possession with intent to distribute child pornography
Smith was taken to the Harford County Detention Center, where he is being held without bail, police said in a statement on July 20.
