Harford County Public Schools Makes Weather Decision For Jan. 3

Officials said weather impacted the decision about Harford County Public Schools for Monday.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Harford County Public Schools will be closed Monday, Jan. 3, officials announced Sunday night.

Authorities cited the "impending weather conditions and impact to travel" in making the decision.

Harford County is under a winter weather advisory calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday.

Schools and offices will both be closed on Monday, officials said, noting essential personnel should wait for instructions from their supervisors.

Due to weather conditions, Harford Community College and Towson University in Northeastern Maryland will be closed Monday, Jan. 3. All classes and events are canceled. Students are encouraged to check their HCC email and log into Blackboard for additional class information and assignments.

The Upper Chesapeake COVID-19 testing site will be closed Monday.
