Harford Mall Stores Continue To Close As Redevelopment Looms

Three more stores at the Harford Mall are closing as the property site undergoes redevelopment into apartments and a parking garage.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Employees at Gamestop and Macy's located in the Harford Mall have shared that their stores are closing.

Signs recently posted at For You Entertainment also indicate the store is closing.

In February, Macy’s announced it would close 150 department stores as part of a turnaround plan. There are 14 Macy's stores in Maryland and one of those stores happens to be located at the Harford Mall.

Mall management told the Baltimore Sun they could not comment on the closures and that all inquiries must be directed to CBL Properties, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment by the Sun.

The Harford Mall's planned redevelopment includes the construction of 249 apartments and a four-story parking garage, along with two residential courtyards and 12,000 square feet of amenities, according to documents.
