Citing Weather, HCPS Cancels Activities Through Sunday

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — After-school and evening activities are canceled Friday in Harford County Public Schools, officials announced Friday morning.

All weekend activities are also called off, including school-sponsored events and/or events on school property.

Authorities cited "varying weather conditions throughout the county and potential travel impacts this evening" in making the decision.

Harford County is under a winter weather advisory from 4 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday due to the potential for 2 to 5 inches of snow and 40 mph wind gusts.

Students will be dismissed at the usual time on Friday.
