Multi-State Crime Spree Case Solved By Bel Air Police
Bel Air Police led an investigation into a 5-state crime spree that ended with the arrest of 2 suspects in connection to 20+ crimes.
BEL AIR, MD — A multi-state investigation spearheaded by the Bel Air Police has cracked the case surrounding a burglary ring.
On March 18, Bel Air detectives launched an investigation into a series of burglaries that happened Feb. 28, March 5 and March 18. Each incident targeted American Design and Build, located in the 200 block of Gateway Drive. The suspects broke into a storage building, breached a secure storage compound and burglarized a company work van, stealing approximately $16,000 worth of copper wire, according to police.
Using surveillance technology, digital forensics and advanced access to law enforcement databases and records, BAPD Detective Sergeant Henry Marchesani pieced together the evidence that ultimately led to the identification of the suspects. While working on the case, BAPD detectives discovered that multiple other law enforcement agencies also were investigating these suspects for similar crimes, the BAPD reported.

Working in cooperation with 17 other police departments, the investigation revealed the suspects’ involvement in more than 20 crime scenes spanning across at least five states, according to the BAPD. As a result of this coordinated effort, on July 1, Dominique Jeffery Johnson of Washington, D.C., and Myah Michelle Portia Parker, also of Washington, D.C., were indicted by a Harford County grand jury in connection to the crimes. Johnson remains in the custody of Virginia authorities, while Parker was apprehended and is currently in custody at the Harford County Detention Center, the BAPD stated.
“This case highlights not only the exceptional detective work of our team but also the strength of inter-agency collaboration,” said Bel Air Police Chief Charles A. Moore. “Detective Sergeant Marchesani’s use of modern investigative technology and good old-fashioned police work helped dismantle a criminal operation impacting multiple communities. This is what professional police work looks like.”
