Harford Co. school officials advise the public that people may be seen with fake weapons inside and outside 3 school buildings Wednesday.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — People carrying fake weapons may be seen outside and inside three Harford County schools again on Thursday as a new security system is tested, school officials noted.
The school district is installing additional safety measures, which includes a new security system called OmniAlert. The system will be tested July 31 at the following buildings:
- Fallston High School
- Fallston Middle School
- Youth's Benefit Elementary School
"Students, staff and community members may see people with fake weapons outside and inside the building on Thursday as those are tools utilized to test the system. We wanted to alert you to this to avoid any undue concern. Thank you for your patience and understanding," the school posted on its website.
