Person Injured On Trombone Trail Sunday At Gunpowder Falls State Park

A person was rescued from Trombone Trail Sunday at Gunpowder Falls State Park, according to emergency officials.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Sunday afternoon, firefighters and emergency workers were called to the Trombone Trail in the Jerusalem Mill area of Gunpowder Falls State Park for a report of an injured person on the trail.

Officials announced on Facebook that emergency workers would utilize UTVs, or utility task vehicles, to reach the injured person. No additional information was available about the incident.

Gunpowder Falls State Park, located off Jerusalem Road near Kingsville, was created in 1959 to protect the Gunpowder River and the Big and Little Gunpowder Falls. Gunpowder Falls State Park is one of Maryland’s largest state parks spanning more than 18,000 acres in Harford and Baltimore counties. It features more than 120 miles of multi-use trails, protected state wildlands, historic sites, fishing spots, kayaking, canoeing and a swimming beach and marina.
