Police Ask Residents To Check Home Surveillance Footage After Teen Shot In Abingdon

A teen boy was shot in Abingdon Sunday night. The HCSO asks residents to check their home surveillance footage for any evidence.

ABINGDON, MD — Detectives are asking neighbors living on Longridge Court to check home surveillance videos after a teen was shot in that area Sunday night.

On Dec. 15 shortly before 6 p.m., Harford County sheriff's deputies were called to the South Tollgate Road and Westover Lane area for a report of a shooting. At the same time, the victim called 911 to report that he'd been shot. The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was taken by a friend to University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, where deputies found him a short time later with a non-fatal gunshot wound to his upper body, according to the sheriff's office.

During the investigation, it was determined that the shooting happened outside a home in the area of Longridge Court but no other details have been disclosed by the sheriff's office.
