The Orient in Bel Air 'Coming Soon'

At the end of 2011, The Orient in Bel Air looked ready to open.

The owner of The Orient , but the projected opening date changed to February 2012, and then to July.

David Huang, owner of The Orient, told Patch Friday the restaurant is "not open yet."

Huang said the restaurant, which will serve Chinese and Japanese cuisine, could still open as early as next month.

The Orient has achieved popularity at locations in Towson and Perry Hall, Huang told Patch in November. The Bel Air location is the restaurant's newest.

Huang said that he had been looking at Bel Air as a place to open his restaurant for about five years.

The Orient is located at 15 N. Main St.
