Tornado Watch For Harford County Canceled

The National Weather Service canceled a tornado watch for the region.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Hours before a tornado watch was set to expire, the National Weather Service canceled the alert.

Cancellation of the tornado watch was "due to the decreasing threat of severe storms," the Maryland Emergency Management Agency said in a statement.

Allegany, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Garrett, Harford, Howard and Washington counties as well as Baltimore City were under the watch, which meant conditions were favorable for the development of a tornado.
