Tractor-Trailers Catch On Fire Next To Gas Pumps At Rutter's Truck Stop In Aberdeen
Two semis caught on fire at an Aberdeen truck stop Saturday while a vehicle drove into a building in Bel Air, fire company officials report.
ABERDEEN, MD — Two tractor-trailers caught on fire Saturday night at the Rutter's located at 1051 South Philadelphia Boulevard.
According to Joshua Montague, fire chief of the Aberdeen Fire Department, the first arriving unit of firefighters found two tractor-trailers next to the fuel island on fire.
"Both trucks experienced severe damage to the tractor portion of the trucks," Montague told Patch. "Both trucks were unoccupied at the time of the fire."

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, Montague told Patch.
In other news, on Sunday in Bel Air, volunteer firefighters and county emergency workers were called to a building located in the unit block of East Churchville Road. A vehicle had crashed into the building, which appeared to be near the Bagel Works shop, officials reported. A building inspector was called to the scene to determine the safety of the building, officials noted.
