'Wine Fairy' Spreads Cheer In Harford County

The Sisterhood of The Traveling Wine began in Harford County recently to deliver joy during the coronavirus pandemic.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — It’s not always fun to be ding dong ditched, but when you open your door and find a bottle of wine left behind, it suddenly becomes an Internet sensation. The “wine fairy” has made stops in Cecil County, Harford County and Essex, to name a few. It started as a way to help neighbors during quarantine around Maryland.

The technical term WJZ is hearing for this phenomenon is “fairies,” or at least that’s what residents are calling them, and they are making their way into Maryland to bring some smiles and cheer.
