A winter storm watch is in effect from 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 16, to 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 17.

Up to 6 inches of snow and up to 0.1 inch ice may accumulate from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow and ice will not be the only complicating factors — wind gusts may be up to 45 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Roads may be slippery, and the Monday morning commute may be impacted, officials advised.

While up to 6 inches of accumulation is possible, about 2 to 4 inches of snow are "most likely," according to the National Weather Service, which reported snow may fall at a rate of 1 to 3 inches per hour late Sunday afternoon and early Sunday night.
