Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Harford County
Forecasters say rain will transition to snow during the winter weather advisory period.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The potential for snow prompted the National Weather Service to issue a winter weather advisory for central and northern Maryland, including Harford County.
Forecasters say the precipitation will begin as rain then transition to snow during the Thursday morning commute.
Up to 2 inches of snow could fall Thursday morning, according to the advisory. Locally, some areas may see totals around 3 inches.

The winter weather advisory is in effect from 4 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, for these jurisdictions: Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Montgomery counties.
Drivers should anticipate slippery roads and drive more slowly and cautiously than usual.

Pedestrians should be careful on their first few steps outside on stairs, sidewalks and driveways, which may be icy and slippery.

A slight winter storm threat lingers Friday night into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, which also issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Baltimore-Washington area.
Here is the Bel Air forecast from the National Weather Service:

Thursday: Rain before 4 a.m., then rain and snow. Snow, possibly mixed with rain before 11 a.m., then a chance of snow between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. High of 33 degrees. By 5 p.m. temperatures will fall to around 26 degrees, with wind gusts up to 21 mph. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 24 and low around 12 degrees. Wind chill values as low as -1.
Saturday: A slight chance of snow before 1 p.m. Sunny, with a high near 27. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 15.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 34 and a low around 18.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 31 and low around 20.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. At night, a 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 30.
