Youths Benefit Elementary School Evacuated: Officials
An alarm prompted an evacuation Tuesday at a school in Harford County.

FALLSTON, MD — After a fire alarm activated at Youths Benefit Elementary School, students have been relocated to the Fallston Senior Center Tuesday afternoon, officials say.
The Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company responded around 1 p.m. to the school in the 1900 block of Fallston Road, fire personnel reported.
A boiler at the school malfunctioned, triggering the carbon monoxide alarm to go off, Fallston fire officials said in a statement at 1:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported, and as of 1:45 p.m., firefighters said they were monitoring the air throughout the school and had not detected any hazards.
Parents were advised to watch their school messaging apps for communication about dismissal.
