CHEVY CHASE, MD — Surveillance images have been released by authorities trying to identify a man believed to have stolen thousands of dollars of merchandise from an Amazon Fresh store over seven months.

Officers are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspected repeat thief targeting the business in the 5400 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase.

Between October 2023 and April 18, 2024, the suspect has stolen about $7,000 in merchandise from the Amazon Fresh store in 36 separate incidents, Montgomery County Police said.

Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspect, described as a Black man, about 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
