Bethesda Armed Robbery Suspect Photo Released By MoCo Police
The armed robbery occurred on Dec. 6 at the AT&T store in the 4900 block of Elm Street in Bethesda, police said Thursday.

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County police released a surveillance photo of a suspect in an armed robbery at a store in Bethesda.
The armed robbery occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the AT&T store in the 4900 block of Elm Street, police said Thursday.
At about 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, officers responded to the store for the report of a robbery. Police learned that the suspect entered the store, posing as a customer, asked about buying an iPhone 15 Pro Max and displayed a potentially fraudulently ID card.

When the employee brought out the phone to complete the transaction, the suspect told the employee he was not going to pay for it and implied he had a weapon in his jacket pocket, police said. The employee then handed the suspect the iPhone and the suspect left the scene.
Police were able to obtain surveillance photos of the suspect, who is described as a Black male, hair styled in twists, wearing sunglasses and a black and blue coat.
